The little one is crying so. Piški ne’i bēkõb.
Well, what are you crying for now? No mis sa sǟ’l ni buļīkšõd?
He is yelling like [his] throat is coming apart. Ta ōŗõb ne’iku kurk ke’ržõb.
He is yelling at the top of his voice. Ta ōŗõb amāl kurkõl.
[One] is yelling like a brute. Ōŗõb kui mõtsāli.
[S/he] is crying like a piglet stuck in a fence. Ōŗõb ne’iku pūoraz tarā va’is.

Flounder are used [when] dried. Liestād sǭbõd kȭlbatõd kūjastõd.
He dries flounder with smoke, in smoke or the sun. Ta kūjastõb lešti so’vkõks, so’v sizāl või pǟva kä’dsõ.

The sharp peg is whittled so that it is sharp. Spitš pūlka u’m ūoldõd ne’i, ku ta u’m spitš.
[One] carves that sort of a thing with a dagger. Duņtšõks ūoļikšõb seļļizt a’žžõ.
[You] shred [it], [you] cut the meat, the food with a knife into small pieces, small bits. Gra’izõb, duņtšõks ī’edõb vȯ’zzõ, sīemna’igõ piškiz kabāļiz, piškiz sumāriz.
[One] is cutting [with a blunt knife], if [one] cuts with a knife and the knife does not work, [it] is dull. Ru’inõb, ku veisõks ī’edõb ja duņtš ä’b ak, u’m tȭlza.
The beavers had dammed up the river there. Bä’bbõrd vȯļtõ dämmõnd sǟ’l siedā jo’ugõ vi’zzõ.
You are ruining him, you are spoiling him. Māitõd tǟnda, sa rikūd tä’m jarā.
[One] ruins meat, the meat gets shredded, cut up with holes. Ni’ggõrtõb vȯzā jarā, vȯzā īeb šnärbõlõks, ī’edtõd ouklimi.
to ruin [one's] life jelāmizt rikkõ
to harm [one's] health tīeratõ rikkõ
