My father only said that when a storm comes from the sea, then the weather will be bad, but when it comes at first from inland, then there will be beautiful weather. Mi’n izā kītiz ne’i set, ku pițki tulāb mie’rstõ, si’z līb bǭrgõ āiga, un ja ta tulāb mǭ pūoldõstõ e’žmiztõ kõrdõ, ku si’z līb knaš āiga.
That person is stern, sort of angry. Se rištīng u’m bǭ’rgõ, seļļi kõ’zzi.

There is much to harvest. Nītõbt u’m pǟgiņ.
His fields gave a rich harvest and their harvest was ruined. Tä’m nūrmõd āndizt rikāzt viļļõ ja nänt vīļa lekš ukkõ.
[One] plants the grain in the ground. Viļļõ kīlab mǭ’zõ.
He got to work with great haste. Ta īrgiz sūr ruoikimizõks lǟ’dõ tīe jū’r.
I am in a hurry. Mi’nnõn u’m ruoikimi.
to have a grudge against kõ’zzõ pi’ddõ
I'm so angry that I could jump out of my skin. [~I have such anger that I could run out of [my] skin.] Mi’n u’m seļļi kõzā, ku ma a’ilõks nǭ’gõst ulzõ.
Right now he is so angry [~under such anger]. Paldiņ ta u’m seļļiz kõzā allõ.
He is baring his teeth in anger. Ta kõzās nä’gțõb ambidi.
One is so angry that one sees spots. [~In front of [one's] eyes it gets spotty from anger.] Sīlmad je’dsõ kõzāks īeb kērabizõks.
Do not show your anger to others. Alā nä’gț eņtš kõ’zzõ muntõn.
out of one's own arrogance eņtš mīel kȭŗkõms
He cannot stand a haughty person. Ta ä’b kāndat izāndizt rištīngt.
to become arrogant ēņtšta sūrõks tī’edõ
to cast a net lūomõ eitõ
to retrieve a net [of fish] lūomõ vie’ddõ
We called a "catch" that, which was pulled out each time with a seine. Lūomõks mēg nutīzmõ sīe, mis sai vie’dtõd ikš kõrd vadāks ulzõ.
This morning there was a good haul of sprat. Tä’m ūoņdžõl vȯ’ļ jõvā kȭrda brēțliži.
I have to leave. Ma piḑīm jarā lǟ’mõ.
Everyone has to learn. Amād piḑīm oppõm.
