Our land is vast and rich. Mä’d mǭ u’m sūr ja rikāz.
I feel so restless, I want to go so much. (lit. As if the ground were burning under my feet, I want to go that much.) Ne’iku mǭ palāb mi’n jālgad allõ, ne’i tǭ’b lǟ’dõ.
You won't find it anywhere [~You will not find it on the earth]. Siedā ä’d līeda sa mǭ pǟl.
[One] has to pick up the knife off the ground, so it is not sitting [~standing] on the ground. U’m võtāmõst duņtš mǭstõ i’lzõ, algõ ta pī’lõg mǭsõ.
The ground is in motion under his feet [~He has living ground under [his] feet] – not the sort person who stands in place. Sīen u’m je’lsõ mǭ jālgad allõ – ä’b ūo seļļi rištīng, kis pī’lõb kūož pǟl.
[One] plants the potatoes (~onions). Panāb na’ggõrd (~ sīpõld) mǭ si’zzõl.
[One] harvests the potatoes. Võtāb na’ggiri mǭstõ i’lzõ
[One] harvests the beets (~swedes). Võtāb bīetõd (~ strīnkõd) mǭstõ i’lzõ.
There is still snow in the countryside. Mǭlõ ve’l u’m lūnda.
Snow still covers the ground in the countryside. Mǭlõ ve’l lu’m katāb mǭdõ.
